Our Star Wars Easter Display (Part 1) - The beginning of the process

So one day while surfing Pinterest I saw a couple finger puppet star wars bunnies
and got the greatest idea to make wooden bunnies inspired by the characters in
Star Wars and Star Wars Rebels for our 1st ever Easter display.

This is our journey in making them

First thing my husband printed out a bunny to trace onto wood. He then cut out 4 bunnies at a time using a wood saw. I then (with the help of my three year old) painted all of them by hand. I did everything free hand just looking at picture online. Now as a daughter of an actual artist I never thought I had artistic ability but I just loved painting these bunnies.

Here is a couple pictures of the bunnies during the cutting/painting process...

Octoanuts Birthday Party

For my son's 4th Birthday he decided he wanted an Octonaut birthday party.  We had so much fun making all the decorations for this party.  Most of the ideas came from Pinterest or my husband's crazy thinking :) Pin the Eye Patch on Kwazii Homemade Octonaut Hats Applesauce Kelp Cakes My husband created wooden cutouts for photos,  we decoupaged images on we printed from the website.  Our local Gerritys grocery store made a Octopod Cupcake Cake from a design I created.  We added gummy sharks and M&Ms for more details.  My husband made a Jello Snotblob because my son is obsessed with the Christmas Octonaut episode.

Day 38 - *Princess Week * Magical Moments Inspired by Pocahontas

*Princess Week* This week we will be featuring Disney movies staring our favorite princesses.  They inspire us to find our voice, go after our dreams, and take the right path, even if it isn’t the easiest one.  Day 38 - Today's Magical Moments are inspired by the movie Pochontas. This movie is a visualy stunning historical tale showing  serious issues of  colonialism , culture and peace over war.  It captures the spirit of the woman  Pocahontas  and her people, and the spirit of the early days of Jamestown. Enjoy these activities and watch Pocahontas and its sequel on Disney Plus.  Footprint Craft https://pin.it/2xD75W6 Hummingbird Crafts https://pin.it/5HpUnly https://pin.it/5O0fN6h DIY Wind Chimes https://pin.it/61NEdpY Raccoon Art  https://pin.it/19MbOsn Tree Painting  https://pin.it/19MbOsn
